Introduction
This bit of nonsense came to me after listening to a "12 Days..." parody on the late-night Jimmy Fallon show that aired December 21st, 2011.
We have recently acquired 2 new kittens, bringing our total cat-count up to 6. Since we are experienced cat-owners (er...the cats have just corrected me--cat servants), we are well familiar with the sort of havoc they can wreak.
Despite their talent and penchant for mischief, they never fail to deliver a smile or offer purry comfort. So, with tongue-in-cheek, and love in my heart, I dedicate this spoof to my darling kitty-cats.
The Tune is Somehow Familiar...
You know this old tune--join in and sing along! For you doggy-owners, feel free to change "cat" to "dog" where needed, but I don't know what to tell you about the purring references. ;-)

On the first day of Yuletide, my cats arranged for me,

Two unplugged light strings,

Three mangled garlands,

@ Stephanie--Thank you very much, and no, we have a small artificial tree this year, with only shatterproof ornaments, and the tree is tied to a slatted patio table with cable ties, otherwise, it proably would have been knocked over!

@ Feline Prophet--Hello, and thanks for that cute idea. Except for just one of the cats, (and only at feeding time), none of them are very vocal. Their purrs are wonderful, but not loud enough to be captured on video. I'm glad you liked the parody.

If you mean it needs a tune--it shares the tune to "The Twelve Days of Christmas," but if you mean it needs to be recorded in a studio--I lack the equipment.. ;-)
The Toof couldn't understand why you were making such a fuss about the shreds and spills ... after all Christmas is only for cats, right?
But you're only one us us lesser mortals like me, I s'pose ... ah well, I'll just go and pick the Christmas tree up again.
